After a long wait and patience, Gold is delivering stellar returns while other asset classes are in red zone.
Gold is nearing its landmark levels of $2000/oz. Last time it touched the peak was during covid and as new liquidity (new printed money) kept gushing in the market.
As tightening began and Dollar begin rising, Gold started losing its sheen. This is a typical inverse relationship between Dollar and Gold.
In my article“Inflation Theme of Economies and Markets: Gold as an Asset Class” written in June 2022, I drew out the factors that will impact its Rally in future. We can see the views transpiring into reality now.
Gold in USD terms delivered ~16% returns and in INR terms ~22-25% from its low last year.
